and has since cemented itself as one of the largest specialist
transport planning consultancies in Australia. VLC specialise in
providing a full range of transport planning services, including:

of the art transport models)

- strategic and operational planning for public
transport systems
- transport economics and project evaluation
- traffic forecasting for toll roads
- planning for special events (eg. Olympic Games)

VLC has been involved in a wide range of transport planning
projects in both Brisbane and Melbourne, for both private and
public sector clients. In Victoria, VLC has worked for the State
Government in producing the forecasts for projects such as
Citylink, Eastlink, and the Geelong Bypass, as well as being
responsible for major public transport planning projects such as
TrainPlan, BusPlan and TramPlan.
In Queensland, VLC has also been responsible for producing
forecasts for projects such as the Gateway Bridge duplication, the
Pacific Highway 8-laning, and the Inner City Bypass, as well as
public transport projects such as the Brisbane Public Transport
Corridors Study. VLC has also been involved in many
land use/transportation studies, such as the recent 2026 Regional
Framework for Growth Management in South-East Queensland, and the
2030 Growth Strategy for Melbourne.
VLC also has extensive experience in the planning of special
events. VLC has worked on the Sydney Olympic Games, the Melbourne
Commonwealth Games, the Suncorp Stadium redevelopment, as well as
the Khalifa Stadium in Qatar.
