Veitch Lister Consulting (VLC) is Australia’s leading developer of
multi-modal travel forecasting models. The company already supports
travel forecasting models for South East Queensland, Sydney, Melbourne,
Adelaide and Perth.
The models are used to predict future changes in travel demand
resulting from on-going urban development and changes in land use
patterns, as well as investments in transport infrastructure and
public transport services.
The models’ travel predictions not only assist governments and the
private sector in the planning and design of major transport
investment projects, but also provide input to major policy decisions
such as toll road pricing, public transport fares and parking charges.
Recent VLC projects in Melbourne include the CityLink Tollway, Hume
Freeway, Mitcham-Frankston Motorway, Geelong Bypass, Princes Freeway
West Upgrading and Public Transport Forecasting for the Government’s
2020 Metropolitan Transport Strategy. Other major projects include the
Lane Cove Tunnel in Sydney, the South-East Busway (Brisbane), Inner
Northern Busway (Brisbane), the Brisbane Bus Network Review, Briztram
and the upgrade of the Pacific Motorway between Brisbane and the Gold
Coast.
VLC has vacancies for highly motivated graduates, with an interest in

mathematical and IT skills are desirable.
