Airlie Beach and Proserpine Mobility Plans

This study targeted three (3) main outputs:

• A future road hierarchy for the Shire of Whitsunday,
• Mobility plan for the township of Proserpine, and
• Mobility plan for Airlie Beach.

This study was one of a series of projects being undertaken by Whitsunday Shire Council to establish the constraints, opportunities and directions for future growth in the Shire. VLC established a travel model for the Shire, and as part of the process worked closely with the Town Planners producing the Town Plan Review. The project also examined a number of alternative land use/transport options for both development centres prior to their evaluation.
